Come to the Campus Resource Fair in the Mesa Quad to learn about student service departments, student support programs, academics, and clubs at Mesa. Meet the community that will support you thoughout your educational journey.

Departments, Programs, and Student Organizations

  • Admissions and Veterans

    The Admissions Office will have two laptops available to assist students who would like to apply for Mesa College. Mesa College is a proud military-friendly institution, dedicated to serving our veteran, active duty military, and military dependent students as they work toward their academic goals.

  • Allied Health

    Learn the fundamentals of patient care in one of our Allied Health programs. Our career education programs provide you with the training you need to prepare for state and national exams, or begin your career in the health field.

  • American Sign Language / Interpreting Program

    Mesa College’s American Sign Language program will open your eyes to the rich and multifaceted culture that surrounds ASL and the deaf and hard of hearing community and put you on the path toward becoming a sign language interpreter.

  • Architecture

    The Architecture Program has two main focuses: transfer to a university architecture program and preparation for direct employment in architecture or a related design field. We will be showing examples of student work and be available to discuss course curriculum.

  • Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI)

    Come learn more about the programs and services offered to support the Asian Pacific Islander community from programs, services, and additional resources!

  • Associated Students

    The Associated Students (AS) is Mesa’s team of elected and appointed student leaders who use their voices to advocate on behalf of students’ rights and needs. With a mission to promote equity, accessibility, and social justice in our community, AS develops programs and events that improve students’ experiences on and off campus.

  • AVANZA - Cruise Program

    Join CRUISE at Mesa to confidently navigate your first year! This program eases your transition, connects you with resources, and sets you up for success in academics, and personal growth. Meet our Peer Navigators today and sign up for the next free CRUISE event!

  • Mesa College Campus Store

    The Mesa College Campus Store is a local bookstore serving the students, faculty and staff of San Diego Mesa College with pride. Our primary goal is to ensure students are able to obtain the course materials they need at reasonable prices. We also provide many other items to support your academic career and school spirit.

  • Child Development Center

    The Child Development / Early Education Centers at San Diego Mesa College is an integral component of the college community. The Centers’ teaching staff and faculty provide learning environments that support instructional laboratory experiences through observation, practical application, and directed guidance.

  • Counseling

    Mesa College Counseling faculty are available to meet with students in a variety of ways to help achieve your academic, career, and personal goals. We are committed to providing a positive college experience. Whether you are pursuing a certificate of achievement, an associate degree, transfer from Mesa to a university, or personal counseling and development, we are here to support you!

  • Culinary Arts

    As one of only a few culinary programs in the nation that operates a classroom-driven restaurant that's open to the public, you will gain first-hand experience modeling food preparation techniques, food safety, sanitation, and menu planning while working with modern equipment in newly renovated facilities.

  • Department of Languages

    Expand your linguistic and cultural knowledge in one of our foreign language programs. Available courses include: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Additionally, we will be highlighting the Spanish Speakers program and our Study Abroad offerings.

  • Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS)

    DSPS provides services to any enrolled Mesa College student who has a disability or medical condition which impacts learning.

  • Dramatic Arts

    The Dramatic Arts Program will be sharing information about the major, degrees offered, current production, and information about the classes we offer and career paths in the Dramatic Arts.

  • Dreamer Resource Center (DRC)

    The Borderless Scholars program is designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment for undocumented students and UndocuAllies. We support these students to overcome personal and educational challenges due to their immigration status. We provide personal, career, and academic counseling, on-campus support services, and community resources including free legal services.

  • English

    Enroll in English courses at Mesa College and take the first step toward your English Degree and rewarding careers in journalism, education, writing, advertising, law, business, government, and so much more. Whether you want to take multicultural studies classes within Chicana/o or Black Studies, or specialize in the work of women authors, the program will help you tailor your English education to your unique areas of interest.

  • Exercise Science, Health Education, Dance & Athletics

    Join San Diego Mesa College Dance for a dynamic path to artistic expression and career opportunities. Our supportive environment fosters exploration of your unique abilities with demanding technical classes and diverse offerings including ballet, modern, jazz, and more!

  • Fashion

    The Fashion program offers a variety of courses geared toward pursuing careers in the fashion industry, ranging from fashion and costume design, fashion merchandising, styling, social media, product development, and more. Our coursework is supplemented with real world learning opportunities including field excursions, study abroad, collaborative projects with industry, internships and work experience. We have an active fashion club and a diverse student body.

  • Fermentation

    One of a few programs of its kind students have the opportunity to learn the history of fermentation, as well as the fundamentals of brewing. Students will learn the many transformative possibilities of food science and gain a thorough understanding of the unique flavors, textures, digestion benefits, and preservation methods that fermentation processes facilitate.

  • Financial Aid

    The Mesa College Financial Aid Office supports you and your family with education funding information. We work with campus and community partners to aid your college journey, from orientation to graduation.

  • GIS Program

    Mesa’s GIS Program helps pave the way toward a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certification and a rewarding career in geospatial technologies. Information regarding the GIS certificate, the major, and possible career paths will be provided.

  • Interclub Council (ICC)

    Student Clubs on campus are designed to enhance student engagement, involvement and build community. Visit us and learn how we impact the Mesa College community.

  • Learning Resource Center - LRC (Library)

    Mesa College librarians and Library Staff will share information about library materials, books, research help, information resources, and services provided in the library to Mesa Students for free. Join us to learn more about how we can support your academic needs.

  • MT2C Tutoring
    The Mesa Tutoring and Computing Center (MT2C) is a centralized tutoring program dedicated to student success. Discuss the benefits of tutoring and get information about how to become a tutor at Mesa.

  • Physical Science

    Mesa’s Physical Sciences curriculum offers a window into the physical elements of our world to prepare you for your career working in the sciences. The program provides an interdisciplinary curriculum of chemistry, physics, biology, geology, and astronomy topics, as well as various math courses to deepen your studies.

  • Pride Center

    The Pride Center at San Diego Mesa College aims to promote a safe environment where LGBTQIA+ students, staff, faculty, and allies can be their authentic selves, feel welcomed, comfortable and at home.

  • Promise Program

    Receive up to two years of free tuition or a book grant with the San Diego Promise. The San Diego Promise is a two-year completion program for eligible students that offers a number of benefits to support you in your introduction to college. Receive access to a peer mentor, specialized counseling and guidance support, and additional
    campus engagement opportunities.

  • Puente

    Puente is a nationally recognized academic program designed to help students adjust to college life and prepare for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The program explores the Latinx experience. Puente is open to, and welcomes, all students. The program has four major components: Writing instruction, Personal Growth instruction, counseling, and mentoring. Puente’s goal is to provide students with a strong academic foundation and the support needed in order to be successful at Mesa College and beyond.

  • Social Sciences

    Mesa College’s Social Sciences program offers a multidisciplinary approach to the study of human behavior to help you investigate the ways societies function and change over time. As you explore the program’s various topics in geography, history, philosophy, and political science courses, you will be introduced to the various tools and research methodologies today’s social scientists use when conducting research.

  • Student Affairs

    We are dedicated to offering programs and initiatives that enhance student achievements, elevate the vibrancy of campus experiences, and complement academic teachings.

  • Transfer, Career, Evaluations

    The Transfer, Career, and Evaluations office supports with transferring to a 4-year university, career and major exploration, and graduation and commencement.

  • Umoja

    The Umoja Program is an educational program designed to increase the success of our Black and African American students. Through our Learning Community, networking opportunities and events, students will gain a culturally relevant educational experience that fosters their self-actualization. Students can complete Umoja’s interest form to join the program in the upcoming semester and achieve student success!

  • Web Development

    Prepare for work in the digital age and advance your skills and knowledge of web design with a Web Development Certificate or Degree from Mesa College. Through your web design courses, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles of website creation, including how to write, code, and create multimedia content, to help you design websites that are in line with industry practices and standards of usability and accessibility.
