Handshake is your one-stop-shop for kickstarting your employment journey! Each SDCCD student has an account created for them to explore careers, attend events, schedule appointments, and showcase their Handshake profile to employers! We encourage students to login and get comfortable utilizing the platform. Connect with a team member for more information.



Activate Your Handshake Account

Steps to activate your Handshake account:

  1. Use your email linked to your MySDCCD Portal to create your account at sdccd.joinhandshake.com/login
  2. Complete your profile to search for jobs & internships based on major, interests, & more.
  3. Connect with employers, get job alerts, & apply with a few clicks. GET HIRED!

Steps for Employers to activate a Handshake account:

Ready to attract top talent to your organization? Below are the step-by-step instructions on how employers can post and manage their jobs on Handshake for our website update.

  1. Account Setup
    • Make sure your user account is connected to your company profile on Handshake
    • Contact the company's Owner or Admin to request job posting permission if needed.
  2. Posting a Job
    • Click "Post a Job" from your dashboard or navigate to Jobs &rg; Create Job 
       
    • Complete the job form with details including Position, Location, Time Requirements, Compensation, Benefits, Qualifications, and Schools
  3. Promote Your Job
    • After the job is posted, you can view qualified candidates.
    • Any upcoming events attended by your company will be promoted on the job posting for students
