Career Tip: Push yourself to be empathetic towards those around you and take time to validate yourself. We all have things we are trying to figure out so be patient with yourself and others.

Career Peer Ambassador - Dorothy

CAREER PEER AMBASSADOR,

 DOROTHY LEE ‘24

PRONOUNS: SHE/HER/HERS

CONTACT: DLEE001@SDCCD.EDU

Dorothy Lee is a student veteran currently pursuing an Associates Degree of Transfer in Psychology at San Diego Mesa College. As a non-traditional student, Dorothy hopes to break social constructs and the fear of being a returning student after a hiatus. She finds joy in meeting new people and aiding in the growth of students' personal and professional development. Dorothy is interested in establishing a career in the education system as a counselor, or working with adolescent patients in the medical field. She believes that career and school is never linear; that every new path that sprouts can always be taken as growth through opportunity.

Career Tip: Network doesn’t always have to be at school or work events. The best time to network is meeting people you would never suspect - like the gym, groceries store, or even on vacation!
